The Guru

Smt. Vani Ramesh is an exponent of the Pandanallur school of Bharatanatyam and the founder of Srishti School of Dance, established in the United States in 1989.

For over three decades, she has trained students in this classical art form to become both accomplished performers and lifelong appreciators of the art. Her students have performed at numerous Indian and American festivities across the Washington Metro area, as well as in Virginia Beach, Greensboro, and Raleigh, North Carolina.

Under her guidance, students have presented dance dramas including Ramayana, Kamadahana, Sri Purandara Dasa, and Punyakoti. Through annual examinations, spring camps, and summer workshops with visiting artistes from India, she nurtures each dancer's growth — encouraging every child to take the stage and share their talent.
